The main purpose of the journal "Izvestiya of Altai State University" is the to publish the results of scientific research in selected areas (Physics, Mathematics and History), considering the latest domestic and international achievements in these areas.

Main goals:

- to increase the level of scientific research through the prompt publication of the most significant results;

- to expand the interaction between Russian and foreign scientists working in these areas;

- to inform the specialists about the latest methods of research;

- to raise the professional level of scientists, teachers, graduate students and students.

In addition, the following tasks have been set:

- to ensure compliance with the level of world requirements to scientific and periodical publications;

- to increase the journal authority due to improvement of rating indicators and open presentation of publications;

- to expanding the audience of authors and readers in Russia and abroad.
