The Organization of Public Education in the Nizhneudinsk District of the Irkutsk Province at the Turn of the Late 19th — Early 20th Centuries
Abstract
The article is devoted to the process of organization of the public education of Eastern Siberia. The consideration is given to the Nizhneudinsky district of the Irkutsk province at the end of the 19th and the beginning of the 20th; centuries; the issues of organization of the public education; the influence of mass overpopulation on the development of the public education of the district under consideration at a given time period. The author researches the process of teachers’ employment, their activity and position in the parochial school and ministerial schools of the Nizhneudinskiy Disctrict. The attention is paid to the complex problems of public schools funding, forming of their material base, the participation of the population in the work of schools in the Nizhneudinsky district of the Irkutsk province at the end of the 19th and the beginning of the 20th; centuries. The chronological scope of the article includes the period of establishing of the education system in the Nizhneudinsky district of the Irkutsk province in the background of the general political processes of the Russian Empire.
