Basandaika, Gorodok, Pontifical Place, villages Kutashevo, Zavarzino, Rodionovo were the most popular places for summer rest. Railway Department and the Ioann Nunnery Special had their closed holiday areas. Special country infrastructure developed rapidly: summer visitors from Tomsk enjoyed the full board used the telephone and took summer railway coaches to get there. The growth of the suburban country zone promoted a formation of the Tomsk agglomeration. Country-holiday areas near Tomsk were not only a result of modernization but a motivating force.
