Abstract

The article provides a comprehensive analysis of Russia’s strategies for promoting the Russian language, encompassing several key areas such as language policy, the education system, media communications, and international cooperation. Particular attention is given to the Russian Federation’s sustained efforts to advance the internationalization of the Russian language, as well as its flexibility and adaptability in the formulation and implementation of language policy. An in-depth study and systematic synthesis of practices related to the promotion of the Russian language in Kazakhstan reveal not only Russia’s successful experience in this field but also put forward a number of practical recommendations for further development based on that experience. In the context of globalization, these measures will help Russia and other countries strengthen the international status of the Russian language and its cultural soft power. The implementation of such strategies will allow the Russian language to occupy a more advantageous position in global linguistic competition, foster intercultural communication and mutual understanding, and contribute to the building of a more harmonious international community.
