To the Issue of the Low Quality Indicators of the Fingerprints from the Corpse's Hands
Abstract
The article studies the characteristics of the indicators of low quality of papillary fingerprints (impressions) of the corpse on 1000 dactyloscopic cards for two periods of time in order to further improve the technique and technology of traditional fingerprinting. The main component of the indicator of quality of a fingerprint card depends on quality of equipment and qualification of the fingerprinting employee. As a result of the study, 15 indicators of poor quality of papillary patterns of the main fingerprints (impressions) of the fingers of the corpse were revealed, some indicators were detailed. Indicators of the quality of papillary prints (impressions) of the fingers of the corpse are classified and constructed in chronological order as the quantitative indicator decreases. This makes it possible to optimize measures to improve the quality of displaying papillary patterns of handprints of the corpse on fingerprint cards, which will affect the image encoding in the automatic fingerprint information system and its search characteristics of selectivity and speed, and most importantly — prompt and objective identification of the corpse.
