The Creative Heritage of Professor V.K. Gavlo and Directions of the Further Development of Criminalistic Methodology
Abstract
In the article the author remembers not only the outstanding personal and professional qualities of Doctor of Law, Professor V.K. Gavlo (Altai State University), moments of communication with him, but also analyzes the creative heritage of Veniamin Konstantinovich. In the given context, the consideration is given to the directions of the further development of the criminalistics methodology as a branch of Criminalistics and the ideas of V.K. Gavlo and a number of other scientists on the concept of full-structural forensic techniques. The author illustrates the positions of the representatives of other scientific forensic schools, developing the ideas of Altai school or putting forward their own concepts with regard to the "methods of judicial proceedings", "methods of public prosecution maintaining ". The article substantiates the position on the need for criminalistic characteristics of crimes (CCP), formed specifically for participants in the judicial stages of the criminal process, and not just for investigators. The rules (criteria) for the formation of such CCPs are given. Finally, the conclusion is drawn that the scenarios for the formation of forensic methods can and should be different, depending on the purpose of the methodology (for example, scientific-dissertational, educational, practical, etc.), target audience, scientific school and other parameters. In this case, the scenario proposed by the scientific school of Professor VK. Gavlo is one of the most promising and in practically needed.
