Activities of Bashkir Public Associations in Tashkent (1992-2022)

Abstract
The article provides a retrospective analysis of the humanitarian activities of the Bashkir social and cultural center in Tashkent, aimed primarily at the preservation and development of the native language and traditional culture. The work of about a dozen different ensembles, vocal groups, dance groups and theatre clubs existing on its basis and covering a significant layer of Russian compatriots in Uzbekistan is described in detail. In close cooperation with the Embassy of the Russian Federation in Uzbekistan and the World Kurultai of Bashkirs, they hold festivals, folk holidays, exhibitions, creative meetings, and participate in concerts on public holidays. Their activities also include holding charity events for war and labor veterans and people with disabilities. It is shown that this makes a significant contribution not only to the consolidation of the Bashkir diaspora in Uzbekistan, but also to the preservation of interethnic peace and harmony in the republic. Their significant contribution to the formation of a positive image not only of Bashkortostan, but also of all of Russia is also emphasized. In conclusion, it is concluded that the positive experience of Bashkir public associations of Tashkent in this area, accumulated by them over 30 years, deserves wide replication.
