“Siberian Notes” and Later Regionalism: the Specifics of Relations in 1916-1919

Abstract
The purpose of the research is to establish and reconstruct the directions of the relationship between the literary, scientific and political journal “Siberian Notes” in the period 1916-1919. The chronology is explained by the period of existence of the publication. The work is based on published sources - materials from articles prepared by representatives of the late period of the Siberian regionalists’ movement. The publications of N.N. Kozmin, Vs.M. Krutovsky, Vl.M. Krutovsky,
G.I. Zhernavkov are analyzed, as well as a classic of regionalism, who was also one of the authors of the “siberian Notes” during the indicated period. The formulation of the goal requires the selection of an appropriate methodology. An epistemological strategy for researching the narrative history paradigm. The methodology of “New Political History” turned out to be in demand in the work.
The authors come to the conclusion that the publication of the first thick magazine in Siberia was organized on the basis of the development of discourses and narratives around the socio-political project of the regional movement in the beginning of the 20th century The narratives were concepts about the ideological identification of Siberian Regionalism, its federalist nature, commitment to Russian Narodnichestvo (Populism), incompatibility with Bolshevik doctrinai-reism, as well as the perpetuation of the blessed memory of N.M. Yadrintsev.
