Mathematical and Computer Modelling of Regional Economic Indicator’s Dynamics
УДК 519.6:004.94
Abstract
The aim of this research is to develop a system of simultaneous equations to analyze the socioeconomic development of a region. The equations are constructed using interrelated indicators that reflect the state and development of the region's economy over a relatively quiet period from 2009 to 2019. The author's mathematical model, which relates the gross regional product (GRP) to the main regional indicators of the Altai Krai, is used in this study. Statistical data from the Federal State Statistics Service for the Altai Krai and the Republic of Altai are used for numerical methods. The model accounts for the increase in the number of people employed in the shadow economy. The computational procedures show that the system of equations adequately assesses the impact of factor variables on the change in the economic indicators of the region. By using numerical methods, the study concludes that the outflow of population from the region can be attributed to certain factors. The research also demonstrates that an increase in the number of people employed, even in the shadow economy, leads to a significant increase in the gross regional product.
