Legal Aspects of Fundraising in the Organization of Higher Educatin
Abstract
The article considers some actual issues of using the mechanism of fundraising activity in the sphere of education. Fundraising in the educational sphere is used as a management tool for the search, collection, accumulation and redistribution of external sources of financing for the non-profit sector. Fundraising in the modern educational space in Russia is a little studied problem. From the historical point of view, issues of charity and philanthropy have received quite bright coverage in scientific research. From the legal point of view, scientists are just starting to analyze the educational fundraising. It is the legal basis that creates the most practical operational accuracy in educational fundraising, which allows identifying models of financial intermediation between the beneficiary and the donor, mechanisms for both permanent and one-time donor interaction between the university and the donor. From the legal point of view, the organizational aspect of fundraising activity fits into several schemes of legal interaction.
In the article the authors pay attention to individual mechanisms in fundraising activities in education, such as endowment funds and the value of the Board of Trustees of the organization. As a result of the analysis, the authors formulated some recommendations aimed at developing this institution in the educational space of Russia.
A carefully thought-out fund-raising system in a university becomes both a powerful source of cofinancing and an effective tool for the development of an educational organization, thanks to the feedback that it receives from business, its graduates-potential philanthropists and the state.
